
Ĭlaude Shannon is credited with founding the field of information theory. Otherwise very occasional markings in the text. An "AS 72" stamp in several places, including first page of first half of Shannon article. Next three issues have a date stamp inked on cover, and previous owner markings inked out. The first issue has owner name inked on cover. Original issue front wrappers are bound in (rear wrappers are not). Shannon's article is in 2 parts, found on pp 379-423 and 623-656. In The Bell System Technical Journal, Vol(entire volume with four individual issues offered).
